"FOOTLOOSE": STILL DANCING 27 YEARS LATER

When the original “Footloose” was released in 1984, it was directed by Hollywood’s dance-maestro Herbert Ross, and it told the story of a town where very powerful and charismatic minister Rev. Moore (John Lithgow) who decided that modern dancing was the tool of the Devil. He denounced it as the first step towards lustful decadence that would ruin the lives of the teenagers in his parish.
