Madonna has not enjoyed great success with the feature films she has directed. The documentary “Truth or Dare” (1991) was her directorial debut and it became a successful, profitable music documentary. She has also acted in films for other directors but her own track record as a director has been variable, to say the least. Her latest film “W.E.”, however, but is unlike anything she has previously done.
